چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is associated with endothelial dysfunction which a common problem in hemodialysis patients risk for high cardiovascular mortality hemodialysis. Thrombomodulin promising marker of cell injury different pathological conditions. This study evaluates the additive effect non-alcoholic prevalent HD on dysfunction. Methods A case-control was conducted 60 end-stage renal (ESRD) conventional hemodialysis: group A: 30 NAFLD, B: without control apparently healthy subjects. Excluding elderly, diabetic patients, chronic Liver disease, advanced heart Failure, active infection, COVID-19 autoimmune diseases catheters. measured all participants by ELISA technique. Results could detect NAFLD at Cut off value <0.8 ng/ml sensitivity 53.33%, specificity 80%, PPV 72.7%, NPV 63.2%. On comparing (4.378±3.762 ng/ml), Non-NAFLD (1.126±0.591 (0.755±0.314 ng/ml) there significant difference (P-value<0.001). Post hoc analysis showed significantly levels {NAFLD versus Non-NAFLD} control} p-value<0.001, 0.001 respectively while no between p-value 0.792. positive thrombomodulin have 2.5 times having There correlation variables study. Conclusions can be used as specific Non Alcoholic disease.

Sinusoidal Endothelial Dysfunction in Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an asymptomatic increasingly common disorder that affects liver metabolism and is often the precursor for liver pathologies such as fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepato-cellular carcinoma. The liver sinusoidal endothelial cells act as a liver sieve by allowing macromolecules and chylomicrons to traverse through their fenestrations (sieve plates) to hepatoc...

Plasma pentraxin-3 is associated with endothelial dysfunction in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

OBJECTIVE Pentraxin-3 (PTX-3) is an acute-phase protein belonging to the PTX family. It has been reported that PTX-3 is significantly associated with obesity, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is strongly associated with atherosclerosis and CVD. In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship of PTX-3 with circulating marker...

A Study of Endothelial Dysfunction in Patients of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

Introduction The prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is increasing worldwide rapidly and is regarded as the hepatic manifestation of metabolic syndrome. The present study was undertaken to study the endothelial dysfunction by flow mediated vasodilatation in NAFLD patients. Material & Methods 32 cases and 16 age and sex matched controls were included in the study. Flow medi...
